Ducati Quick Shift
Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) is the first time a racing-style electronically Quick-Shift was
original equipment on a production Ducati. Usually used specifically for the operation, the system allows the driver to keep the throttle in case of change of speed through the gearbox, to help save vital seconds for the fastest lap time yet. The system not only saves time when changing gear, but also allows the possibility of continuous air flow through the throttle body through the change process up.
The system consists of a micro-switch built into the clutch of the gear lever, which when activated in the direction of a gear selection, sends a signal to the main ECU.
