This beautiful and amazing car Peugeot 508 is a diesel electric hybrid RXH which was officially presented before its world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. With all the wheels through drive technology HYbrid4, Peugeot 508 comes packing RXH Ford 2.0 liter HDi diesel engine 28 kW (38 hp) electric motor. This system similar to that found in 3008 HYbrid4 RXH Peugeot 508 makes the so called “through the road” hybrid vehicles. Overall the diesel electric hybrid drive provides up to 147 kW (200 hp) and cranks to 332 lb-ft of torque.
Peugeot 508 can operate in electric while Peugeot has revealed the vehicle with 0 emissions range. French manufacturer said the Peugeot 508 consumes less than 4.2 liters of diesel per 100 km (56 mpg U.S) combined cycle and emits 109 g/km of CO2. Peugeot 508 goes on sale in spring 2012. Peugeot will extend its technology HYbrid4 additional vehicles in the near future.
The hybrid system of the 508 can push the average RXH Peugeot 508 100 km on only 4.0 liters of diesel. The internal combustion engine of this car drives the front wheels while the rear wheels are driven by the engine.
