For the first time, now all petrol and diesel engines for BMW 1 Series is equipped with new technology TwinPower BMW Turbo. A new generation of petrol engines of 1.6 liter: BMW 116i with 100 kW/136 hp, the BMW 118i with 125 kW/170 hp. Radically redesigned 2.0-liter diesel BMW 116D with 85 kW/116 bhp, the BMW 118d with 105 kW/143 hp, the BMW 120d with 135 kW/184 hp. Also be launched soon is the BMW 116D EfficientDynamics Edition, with a diesel engine 85-kW/116-hp 1.6 liter fuel-saving technologies that will maintain additional CO2 emissions in the EU test cycle down to only 99 g / km.

BMW 1-Series remains the market leader in the BMW EfficientDynamics: The first segment of the automotive world, optional eight-speed automatic, automatic start / stop and manual and automatic gearboxes. ECO Pro mode will be activated switch stroke (standard).

Significantly improved comfort and handling with outstanding rear-wheel drive, inline engines, the perfectly balanced weight distribution and advanced suspension technology. Double-strut front axle community, five-link rear axle, high electro-mechanical steering precision, without interference from the drive train. Body 85 mm long, longer wheelbase, 30 mm, 51 mm wider track front and rear track 72 mm wider than the previous model, the height remains unchanged, but 17 mm wide to create a larger interior spacious and sporty look. The legs 21 mm longer rear cargo area expanded from 330 to 360 liters of luggage capacity expandable to up to 1,200 liters with the rear seats folded (40/20/40 seats optional).
