2011 Suzuki Hayabusa Tools

Engine characteristics

The Hayabusa is equipped with an 1340cc, inline, DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 16 valves, Twin Swirl and combustion chambers (TSCC).

Lightweight aluminum alloy pistons with a compression ratio of 12.5:1 is used for maximum performance in all conditions. Hard, smooth chrome-nitride physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating on the upper compression and oil control rings on each piston reduces friction while improving cylinder sealing.

Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) cylinder coating improves the transfer of heat sealing, durability and ring.

Lightweight titanium valves allow use of valve springs and lightweight high-elevation, while maintaining accurate valve control. Iridium spark plugs are used for high combustion efficiency.

The Hayabusa engine is powered by Suzuki SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) fuel injection system double the 12-hole, fine spray injectors per cylinder and air intake with ram air box volume.

Suzuki Pulse secondary air injection (PAR) turns unburned hydrocarbons and reduce emissions of carbon monoxide.

S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) allows the driver to select three different settings depending on the engine driving conditions or rider preferences

The Hayabusa comes with a large exhaust system with high capacity volume 4-2-1-2 catalytic two triangular containers and closed-loop system.

High-performance radiator with two electric fans controlled curves by the ECM for increased cooling capacity. Oil cooler line has 10 cores for increased heat dissipation.

Transmission properties

The Hayabusa comes with an optimized 6-speed gearbox. Oil spray for the 4th, 5th and 6 speed reduces noise and mechanical wear on the highway. Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) serves as a back-torque limiter system for smooth downshifts and also contributes to an easy clutch pull.

Chassis Features

Lightweight and rigid twin-spar aluminum frame reduces weight while maintaining high torsional strength.

The Hayabusa is equipped with a fully adjustable inverted front fork with DLC (Diamond Like Coating)-coated tubes inside. The front suspension provides a minimal friction resistance and provides exceptional performance in the suspension of a variety of conditions.

An aluminum swingarm alloy has a closed section for increased rigidity, which also helps to face the rear tire grip and improved engine performance increased. The Hayabusa is fully adjustable rear shock features a 43mm piston and 14mm rod diameter.

Radial-mount front brake calipers offers maximum performance of braking and allows smaller 310mm front brake rotors resulting in reduced unsprung weight and improved handling. A light single piston rear brake caliper works with a disc brake rear 260mm.

3-spoke cast aluminum alloy wheels are shod with 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) front and 190/50ZR17M/C (73W) rear radial tires.

Vertically stacked twin headlights provide increased light intensity, improved light distribution and adapted to the flow of the elegance of Hayabusa.

The instrument panel is four meters Hayabusa analog speedometer, tachometer fuel gauge, temperature gauge and water with a S-DMS mode indicator, gear position indicator and adjustable engine rpm.

Very sophisticated aerodynamic wind protection as well as normal and completely safe seat locations.

The Hayabusa comes with a bright backlight, clear lens LED durable interior and exterior of the lens red.
