The Mosler MT900 is a sport car built in the United States and the United Kingdom by Mosler. Three submodels have also been produced. The basic car was updated as the MT900 S for 2005. The original car was introduced in 2001 and the MT900S continues in production. Components for 25 MTs were produced as of January, 2005, though only three road cars and eleven racing versions have officially been completed. This car was the replacement for the Mosler Raptor.This car is one of the world's premiere sports car manufacturers.For over twenty five years, this car has constructed state of the art of the sports cars which have been sold in the the whole world.
Mosler Automotive is also closely involved in motorsport. For decades, Mosler Automotive has constructed race variants of its street cars. The current race cars, the MT900R and MT900 GT3, have been fielded globally in many national and international series with great success.
Automotive did not start out building high-performance race cars. The company first developed a street-legal supercar, the Mosler MT900S, according to Mosler's PR representative Erin Bronner.
MT900S
Thanks to years of development, including 2 years of on track racing, the MT900s design was finalized in 2004. Weighing in as low as 2,275lbs plus fuel, and being powered by a mid mounted 7.0L V8, the ultra light weight high performance MT900 set new performance and fuel efficiency standards.
Fast forward through five years of continuous refinement, and the new 2009 7.0L V8 powered MT900s continues that tradition of dominating through extreme performance without the sacrifice of outstanding economical operation.
The MT900 car is designed to be efficient. The primary structure of the MT900 is provided by a carbon fiber monocoque, which houses the cabin and packages with it an advanced suspension layout and a high efficiency.
On the most challenging road courses, the MT900s is competitive with the fastest production sports cars today.
